Amber's paintings are explorations into music, movement and stories. Rhythm is at the core of all her work and derives from a life of dance and playing the violin. Many works result from a form of synesthesia, whereby Amber sees colour and shape when listening to music. Amber combines her geometric patterns with free form "rhythmic" lines. At times characters and symbols are introduced that relate to the theme of the painting. The result is a combination of order and chaos, precision and spontaneity. Amber's focus as an artist is in universal structures and mythologies relating to nature and human interconnectivity.
